Lipstick Apology by Jennifer Jabaley, a review by musicalgirl198

Lipstick Apology
321 pages
Paperback
$9.99

When fifteen-year-old Emily’s parents die in a plane crash, she is sent off to live with her makeup artist aunt, Jolie, in New York. Haunted by a cryptic message her mother scrawled on an airplane tray table, Emily has an …interesting time adapting to her new environment. Comedy, emotion and just a little bit of romance collide in this book you will love every second of.

The only downside to this book, in my opinion, is that it doesn’t go on forever. Well, I guess there might be one downside… If you’re a person who reads a lot of a lot of Y.A. realistic fiction books, this one could blend in with the others. I’ve talked to some other people who have read this book, and they said that it wasn’t very memorable.

Rating (out chocolate bars): 4.999999 out of 5
Appropriateness: An itty-bitty bit of language
Cover thoughts: I like it. J
